There’s a way to manufacture clothes that cleans the environment at the same time, and brings bigger rewards to the farmers and makers—the people doing most of the work. A transparent, verified process that balances economic success with equity and planet health isn’t wild idealism, because it’s working for Loomstate every day.

Collaboration Collaboration

“The team at Loomstate are authentic in their relentless commitment to their core values. They were doing this long before it was cool or current and continue to be a north star in our industry. We so appreciate the opportunity they gave us and our team long before we had developed a long history or reputation.”

“Loomstate continues to be an inspiration on what’s possible. You were
the original pioneers, a small agile company, punching beyond its weight, to influence beyond fashion and into nutrition and now soils.”

It starts with a seed It starts with a seed It starts with a seed

Like the organic, non-GMO seeds Loomstate farmers use, just about everything we do is different from conventional farming. Putting new technology and traditional know-how to work in safer cultivation and production methods leads to more than just outstanding clothes. The Loomstate process actively reduces hunger, supporting girls’ education, grows healthier communities, levels inequalities, and restores the environment.

  • Materials

Start with socially and environmentally friendly fibers that are biodegradable and traceable

  • Processing & Manufacturing

Use low-impact, high-efficiency industrial operations to turn raw materials into clothing

  • Distribution

Establish a transparent supply chain, eco-friendly packaging, and efficient distribution and transport

  • Product Use

Include user-friendly instructions for efficient care throughout the life of the garment

  • Enhanced Lifetime

Design for durability, to extend the life of our clothing and help it avoid the landfill

  • End-Of-Use

Encourage reuse, recycling and take-back programs for garments that have lost their usefulness

By planting other types of crops alongside cotton, our farmers help replenish soil nutrients and fortify the cotton plants so they can defend themselves naturally, without synthetic help. Free of man-made pesticides, the ecosystem functions as it should: bugs and microorganisms like earthworms and fungi, which are critical to soil health, can flourish, and birds and other insects feed on crop pests, keeping them at bay.

“Loomstate focuses on our connections as people. Our partnerships bring out everyone’s best, and help everyone succeed. We’ve addressed and improved a lot of what’s wrong in the industry, and we’re still able to make great clothes.”
